Busan urban rail line 3 first step motor car(color: brown) Korean type localized standard motor car
Busan line 3 motor car has very different shape from the others. The most obvious thing is that it has circle type motor car rather than square type. In additions, there is no door between cars, so, car 1 is connected upto car 4 without doors. It is designed according to the standard the ministry of land and ocean suggested, every device is localized and it weighs less than line 1 motor car by about 20%. It has oval shape, and there is no baggage compartment above a seat and instead, a user can place their belongings in the space under the seat. Besides, the doors of a motor car is not inserted in the motor car itself different from the other cars but it is attached on the outer side. In additions, it is operated electrically, thus, it causes less noise than air type and it has excellent ability to detect the obstacles. In addition, using the CCTV installed inside, it became possible for the engineer to handle promptly in emergency situations.
Its size is similar to line 2 motor car. Its height gets lower by 4cm and its acceleration, deceleration, electrical method and the output of tugging motor are the same. The main control device is VVVF type using IGBT element, the rated power is 1,100kw which is more than line 2 whose rated power is 950kw and its support power source is static inverter using IGBT. The signalling method adopts ATC/ATO and we have 80 cars now.
The size is not significantly different from the urban rail line 2, only the height of the roof of the vehicle body has been lowered by about 4cm, and the acceleration/deceleration, electric method and output of the traction motor are the same. The main control device is based on a VVVF method using IGBT elements, and the rated output is 1,100kw, which is larger than Line 2 (950kw), and the auxiliary power supply is also a static inverter using IGBT. ATP/ATO was applied as the signaling method, and it currently has 80 slots.
