Busan urban rail line 2 motor car(color: light green) VVVF/GTO element use, electronic displays are installed at the end of a passenger room
The motor car of Busan line 2 adopts the second medium sized motor car following the line 1 opened in advance. But, its height is shorter than line 1 motor car by 3cm. In additions, line 1 is 8 cars long but line 2 is 6 cars long. It takes 3M3T type, and M means a motor car and T means the cars without motor to be pulled. And the number of doors per car in line 1 is 6 but that of doors per car in line 2 is 8.

The voltage is operated at the same DC 1,500V. Its acceleration is 3.0km/h/s and its deceleration is 3.5km/h/s in case of normal stop and 4.5km/h/s in the case of an emergency stop. The motor uses squirrel cage motor, its output is 210Kw and its rpm is 2,200. And the main control device is VVVF inverter using GTO element and the support power source is static inverter method using IGBT element. Currently, Busan Transportation Corporation has 336 cars of such a kind. In addition, using the CCTV installed inside, it became possible for the engineer to handle promptly in emergency situations.
